Greetings!
The Filipino American Institute of Accountants of Metropolitan Washington DC, Inc. (FAIA) is a group of accountants of predominantly Filipino descent in the metropolitan Washington DC area who are dedicated to advance the public interest by providing tax and accounting education that is useful to the individual and beneficial to the community.
We aim to play a relevant role in the Filipino American community. We aim to make a difference. We accomplish this by providing seminars that benefit not only local accountants but also the public at large on topics of interest to the community. We discuss current events, we offer pro bono tax preparation, we share our talent with the various nonprofit organizations.
Our main thrust is to share our knowledge with the general public in ways that benefit the most people and do the most good. Our charitable pursuits also include helping raise funds to alleviate the conditions of people who are victims of natural calamities and deserving students who need scholarship funds to further their education.
On the national level, as a member chapter of the National Council of Philippine American Canadian Accountants,FAIA participates in the annual conventions that continue the professional development of its members. We play an exemplary role in the planning and execution of NCPACA's programs.
We shall continue to make improvements to this website, in particular to make it responsive to the needs of the constituencies that we serve.
